A Perfume that Represents Your Personality + Giveaway

October 20th, 2012 - I was invited by Alliance Cosmetics to attend the launch of SilkyGirl's Sweet Temptation Dolls Perfume Collection at Hello Deer at Damansara Uptown. The first thing that came to my mind when I received the e-mail was "Hmm... why is SilkyGirl coming out with another perfume range?" because they already have some at pharmacies.

But when I attended the launch, I learned why. 

The perfume dolls each have a scent that represents individuality and personality. Looking at the left picture (L-R: Innocent Isabelle, Sunshine Sue, Charming Charley, Lovely Lucy, and Bold Becky) If you noticed their names have the same initials - II, SS, CC, LL, and BB that way is easier for people to remember the names. 

Which Sweet Temptation are you?

Innocent Isabelle 

Sweet and welcoming. She loves everything pink especially her favorite treat, cotton candy!Innocent Isabelle
sweeps you off your feet with whiffs of floral sweetness of jasmine and muguet blended with fresh citrus notes.

Sunshine Sue

After the explanation of the dolls, the launch continued with some entertainment for us bloggers. Our teachers from SweetToothVille. They taught us how to make our very own Temptation Dolls Cupcakes!

It was my first time, I had a pretty hard time doing it, but even so I had fun. :)

The girl on the right won the best cupcake decoration. 

After the cupcake decoration I managed to get a closer look and smell of the Sweet Temptation Dolls. My favourites would be Sunshine Sue and Lovely Lucy

At first I only liked those two, but seeing how cute they all look I wanted them all! 

That was about it for the launch, we took some pictures, I met a few of them and they are really nice. :)

Sailormoon Workout!

Blogilates is a channel that i'm subscribed to on YouTube mainly because the workouts are pretty interesting. Blogilates is owned by Cassey Ho who is a very bubbly and funny girl. Her videos are slightly different from others because of how she is. The bubbly, crazy and funny part of her are in all of her videos.

October WonderBox Malaysia (Unboxing)

Hey ladies, today I finally received my first ever WonderBox! Well it is their first box too but yeah I was pretty excited! So I unboxed it just now and took some pictures for you to see roughly the kind of products they would give. However the purpose of a Beauty Box is to SURPRISE everyone, so the format of the box may not be the same. By format I mean like five full sized products, or 2 full sized and 7 samples kind of thing.

So let's get into it!

Nicely wrapped with bubble wraps. hmm another Beauty Box that I received did not have bubble wraps. I'll give WonderBox a credit for that.

The box is actually more solid than I thought. When I saw the pictures on their Facebook Page I thought it was going to be those really cheap paper box, but nope this one definitely has class. Check out the 3D design printed on the box.

Tadha! That's a card that shows what products are in the box. There's also a 20% voucher for Body Shop however only applicable for their body wash.

Some of you might be thinking... hmm that's quite little... but keep in mind they are full sized products

Lets take a closer look to each and every one of the products.

SOTHYS

A product as small as that costs...

Plus it's enriched with Vitamin E and protein rich keratin for healthier lashes. - I can't wait to try this one. But need to finish up my other mascaras first. :/

clinelle's Blemish  Clear speeds up skin healing and tightens enlarged pores. It helps relieve skin pain, inflammation and clear acne in just 1-2 days. - Perfect for me! I have huge pores and can use them after I squeeze my blackheads out. Okay you're not supposed to squeeze FYI but sometimes we just can't help it. Not to forget those annoying zits.

clinelle's SnoWhite Mask strengthens the skin's barriers, restores and maintains optimal hydration while brightening dull and lackluster complexions. - Another perfect product for me. Some people say i'm pale but I think recently I got a little darker. So this can help me maintain my fair skin. :)

Also not to forget The Body Shop's Strawberry Bath Shower Gel. It is a refreshing cleansing gel that lathers up in the bath or shower to leave your skin feeling clean, fresh and subtly scented. - I really like the Strawberry scent from Body's Shop but they are pretty expensive. So i'm happy this was included in the WonderBox!

So yeap that's about everything! Wonderbox cost only RM39.90 inclusive of postage. Hey RM40 for so many full sized products, so worth it. Not to forget Sothys that cose RM69! clinelle definitely not less than RM30 as well.

Veet gives me soft and smooth skin that brings out the confidence in me

Have you girls ever wondered what would it be like if the invention of hair removal was non existent? I know that back in the days, well in China at least, women there have hair all over their body! (okay i don't mean hairy like an animal, but you know... the usual areas) It never occur to them to get rid of at least the arm pit hair.

Do you remember when was the first time you started bothering about shaving/plucking/waxing your armpit hair? I remember when I first started my vain journey was at the age of 15, back then I used to pluck, and it was kind of difficult and neck straining.

What about your legs? I know there are some people who shaves and I never did that because my mum told me that if I shaved it'll grow more, and people been telling me too that if i shave my hair would grow thicker. So my first time ever hair removal on my legs was through D.I.Y waxing, and it wasn't from Veet. However later on I decided to give Veet a try and noticed that Veet is much more gentle on the skin as compared to my previous brand.

Back to the question, so what will life be like for us women if all these waxing and hair removal products never existed? For me it would be a horror! It is the same as what if make up never existed, we would all look plain and boring! No offense, hey i'm talking about me too. :p

Personally, the way to bring out a woman's femininity and confidence is to have less hair on the body. No matter how sexy and hot their body is, big boobs, firm ass, slim waist, etc, it will never be the same if that person is hairy. Take Kim Kardashian for example, I know some people dig her but what if she looked like this?

So how does Veet gives me soft and smooth skin that brings out my confidence?

Right now I'm really thankful for Veet for its existence. Without Veet, I won't be able to show more of my skin. If i was wearing my shorts and a sleeveless top but filled with body hair (well for me would be armpit and legs), I would rather wear a long sleeved top and a pair of jeans.

I would personally feel unhygienic if i had body hair like the picture above. Because of Veet's gentleness of my skin I am not only able to feel hairless, but also able to feel confident when I reveal my soft and smooth skin. I don't have to strain my neck to pluck my armpit hair, worry about my leg hair, and bikini line. The existence of Veet has made me a very happy and confident person. I don't have to spend heaps of ringgit just to get my hair removed when they will come back again in less than two weeks to a month.

I wanted to wear something comfortable for a casual night out, but if I don't feel confident, I won't look confident. I transformed my cardigan to a top by folding and tying it, added a necklace and a pair of comfortable heels.

My Experience with Hairdressing.com.my

A while back I bought a curling iron from Hairdressing.com.my, and it was my birthday present from James, Chloe and Will. So when I received the package I was super excited!!! Let's unwrap/unbox together.

I bought a shampoo together with this since it was FREE POSTAGE above RM100.

I was pleased with the packaging because it was well wrapped and protected with a few layers of bubble wraps.  

I was being all excited and opening up the plastic and the box gently....

I took out the curling iron and started to look around and checked if there's any damaged. Well it surely didn't take long for me to realize the damage on the product.

LOOK AT THAT!

That's not all, i turned it to the back and saw this. 

The part where the clipper is, when i pressed on the clip and it opened I saw inside was a little damaged too. Basically you could tell that it wont take long for the ceramic to slowly peel off. My heart stopped. I was super disappointed. I mean come on, it's my first time purchasing a product from them, and there are over 5,000 of people of 'like' their Facebook page so I thought their service was good.. 

So I contacted them via E-mail, waited till the next day, no reply. I messaged them on Facebook and waited for another day still no reply! Gosh I was really annoyed, I mean come on it is pretty obvious your online blogshop/company is a pretty big one, reputation would definitely be important to you guys. 

So on the third day I finally called them and told them the problem. One good thing however is that after i called them to ask them to check their mail,  instead of replying me there they took the initiative to CALL me back instead. 

I was told to send the product back to them and they will resend it to me. Another good thing is the postage to send it back to them was covered. What they did for me was transferred RM6.80 to my Maybank account. 

So I waited for about 1 week for them to resend the product to me.

The resent product's packaging was not as good and safe as the first time, due to that I was a little worried that maybe the product could have been damaged and that I had to send it back to them AGAIN.

But thank God this time there's no damaged! I'm very satisfied with this product now, if it weren't for the previous issue, I would've been a 100% happy and satisfied customer, but because the damaged issue did happen, i'm only 85%.. 

But to conclude, it is a pretty big company and probably they were short of staffs, I give them the benefit of the doubt. At least they paid for the postage and everything so yeah I'm okay with that.

Pros

• Good quality products (those that aren't damaged)
• They have quite a variety of hair products
• Good service for paying for postage

Cons

• Service not that good, I mean how can you not check your product first before posting to your customers?
• Take forever to check their mails and reply (Facebook/Email)

Repurchase?: Even given the things that have happened, I would still repurchase from them because of the variety they have and compared to other online shops, their pricing are somewhat one of the cheapest.
