Himalaya Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo

I'm annoyed with myself because I previously took pictures of this product but now it is no where to be found! Therefore I had to take a picture from Google... :(

I started using Himalaya products about 3 years ago and was consuming their herbal capsules then, After that I discovered their shampoo (old bottle design), and now this one!

Description
Himalaya Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo strengthens weakened hair and provides nourishment to roots. It improves hair texture and reduce hair fall due to breakage. Its innovative formula makes hair manageable and stronger. This shampoo can be used on permed or artificially coloured hair. It is suitable for all hair types.

My Experience
The first time I used this shampoo i did not like it because it wasn't very conditioning when washing, which makes it difficult for me to mix it around my scalp and hair. But it did help with my hair fall, and I noticed the difference when i use this shampoo and other anti-hair fall pharmacy shampoos!

I read from other reviews that this shampoo drained the moisture out of their hair. In the beginning it was like that for me too but i noticed as i kept using the shampoo with conditioner, my hair actually became much easier to manage as compared to before. Before this I had terrible tangles, but after using this shampoo for a few weeks my hair looks and feel better now. If you're suffering from hair fall and are on a tight budget, I strongly recommend this shampoo.

Pros
- Smells like herbs but in a good way
- Lessen hair fall
- Hair feels healthier
- Does not contain Sodium Laureth Sulfate
- Cleans my scalp well

Cons
- Slightly expensive (RM15 for the small bottle)
- Difficult to wash

I also discovered a way to wash my hair with this shampoo without wasting.
- What I do is i pour half of 10 cents coin and lather it to foam on my palms first, and then apply it on my scalp till there's no more foam on my palm. Then i'll do the same thing again and put it all over my scalp.
- Once my scalp is covered with the shampoo, i'll pour a little more, lather in to foam and apply on my hair and massage my scalp for 1 minute, then rinse off
- Repeat

*If you have long hair, you must ALWAYS use conditioner when you wash your hair.

L'oreal Hydrafresh Anti-Shine Icy Gel Review

When my old moisturizer ran out (The L'oreal Derma Genesis Pore Minimizing Smoother), I went to the pharmacy to buy another one. Unfortunately it ran out, I didn't see it at all, it's either it's discontinued or they didn't carry the stock, or it just ran out. So I had to find a replacement and I decided to try from the same brand, L'oreal and I discovered the Hydrafresh Anti-Shine!

I was attracted to this because of the description.
"Pollution, humidity and stressful lifestyle can provoke excessive sebum production. Hot and damped climate can also cause perspiration: skin loses water, becomes dehydrated, yet appears shiny."

I was thinking, hey! it described my problem! With our hot and humid weather in Malaysia, in addition to my super oily skin I thought this was great, and I also thought this product was made for this purpose!

The other side of the box showed this. The words that persuaded me to buy this product were: "prevents skin from greasing and pores are clear and tightened".

Here is how the packaging looks:

I like the extra support from the box... no particular reason. :p

Be sure to read the information clearly from the box before dispose because this is all it says on the product.

I also like the plastic cap that prevents the product from splattering all over the cover. Even if it's on the plastic thing, you can still use them and it's neater.

My Experience
To be honest I am not very happy about this product. It is cooling after apply, my face does feel smooth and non greasy. I did not feel the difference of my face being less shiny, probably less shiny right after apply, but after a few hours my face becomes oily like usual. Another strange thing i noticed is that, after i cleanse my face, apply toner and everything, my face looks really clean. But, once i applied this product I have no idea why my pores look clogged. I wish someone could explain to me as well.

Conclusion
Pros
- Gives smooth feel after apply
- Cooling feeling

Cons
- Does not prevent face from being oily
- It seems like it clogs more pores
- Does not do exactly what it says ("prevents skin from greasing and pores are clear and tightened")

However, though this product does not exactly compliment my skin, but it might work well for you so no
harm in trying. :) It cost RM24.90 from Caring Pharmacy, do let me know if you have tried this product and share your review at the comment below.

Cheers!
