Here's what you need.
A soap. I use the Hada Labo facial foam because it doesn't work well with my skin, so instead
of wasting it, I use it for washing my brushes. :) Please visit my review on Hada Labo here.
The next thing you will need is
So let's start!
So first I dip my brush into the warm water.
I then squeeze a small amount of soap, and I rub the soap around the brushes till it creates foam.
After that I just rinse them.
*Do the same for all brushes. However for my foundation/BB cream brush, I use a make up remover first, then I use the facial cleanser. I am using the Biore Cleansing Oil.
*You do not HAVE to use facial wash, you can even use other gentle soaps. My friend uses shampoo, so basically it's entirely up to you. But use a gentle soap, do not use bleach or anything strong.
After that just leave it out to dry. I do not recommend using a hair dryer, air dry is always the best. Avoid drying them atdirect sunlight.
How often should I wash my brushes?
It is recommended to wash once a week, but only if you use your make up brushes a lot. For me I wash them monthly cause I rarely use them extensively.

Cheers! :)
Im using Neutrogena Make up remover to wash my foundation brush and its working great! I use the Eco Tools concealer brush everyday to apply my foundation and when Im done I dip the brush into a small bowl of the make up remover and swish around until clean. It takes a couple of tries for the brush to rinse completely clean and when Im all done I rinse it well with water and let it air dry to get ready for its next use. I am not sure how long this brush will last being used and washed so much but it was less than $10 and its applying flawlessly so well worth it. Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing dear, Eco Tools are pretty expensive brushes i believe? I also discovered another way to clean my brushes instantly. I use facial wipes! That way I don't have to clean my brushes as often. :)
